Ursuline Academy is investing more than $45 million to build out 95,869 square feet of space on its campus in Preston Hollow. Construction started in September 2020, and the school plans to occupy the space at 4900 Walnut Hill Lane by Dec. 1.

East Campus

A new 95,000-square-foot academic buildĀing will be located on the East Campus. It will include a 1,000-seat theater, drama classrooms and visual art spaces, such as a broadcast studio and a fabrication lab. In May, the outside of the building was almost complete. Masonry wraps around the north facade, and a concrete balcony overlooks the theater. Scaffolding inside the theater is up, and the curved ceiling is ready to be installed. Cabinets are being installed in the art rooms.

West Campus

Main Hall and Cass Hall will be renovated to accommodate the relocation of the administration, vacated by the construction of the new East Campus building. Additional classrooms and public spaces will also be renovated, addressing lingerĀing maintenance and disability access. An 8,000-square-foot two-story addition will become a new west side business entry located on the ground level. The upper level will double the size of Haggar Dining Hall. The kitchen and serving areas will be expanded, providing multiple food stations sprinkled throughout the dining hall.
