Remember 9/11 with a tree planting, exhibits at the Museum of Biblical Art

The Museum of Biblical Art is hosting a tree planting to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

Neighbors are asked to arrive between 7:45 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. Saturday so activities can begin right at 8:30 a.m.

Guests will include 9/11 survivors and families of New York City first responders who died in the attack, service dogs, participating artists and museum patrons. Honor guards from Plano and Dallas fire departments and the Dallas Police Department will also be there.

After the ceremony, guests can view the new “Remember 9/11” exhibits. Those include “Remembrance,” a collaborative exhibition with the Ground Zero 360 nonprofit, which has historical items and works from artists including former President George W. Bush and Edge from U2. There is also an exhibition called “Repair, Rebuild, Renew,” which features mosaics about restoration. More than 30 Texas ceramic artists will be featured in “Broken and Whole,” and Texas sculptors are featured in the outdoor “We Will Remember” exhibit.
