Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra is celebrating its 50th anniversary next month by partnering with Galleria Dallas.

Inside the Galleria across from Sephora, a gallery wall will be displayed, featuring a by-the-numbers look at Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra’s impact since the organization started in 1972.

“We’re thrilled to be celebrating our 50th anniversary with the gallery wall in Galleria Dallas,” said Cathy Hernandez, GDYO’s executive director, in a news release. “This is one way we can spread our mission of empowering youth through music to the entire community.”

GDYO is a non-profit organization that aims to provide music education and performance opportunities to musicians ages 6 to 18 across the DFW Metroplex. The orchestra currently consists of ten ensembles with over 470 musicians from over 150 schools and 50 communities.

The gallery wall will be on display from July 1 to 27. To witness GDYO in action, orchestra fans can purchase tickets to upcoming concerts online. The first concert of the season will be on October 24 in the Myerson Symphony Center.
