A newly listed Preston Hollow area estate — a “bonkers mansion,” per Robb Report — is inspired by the 2010 science fiction movie TRON: Legacy, sequel to a 1982 classic, and Ferrari.

Step inside and enter an alternate reality, says Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty agent Pogir, who is co-listing 5025 Wateka Drive along with Lisa Besserer.

“Welcome to the future,” Pogir notes via press release.

Designed by its builder as his own home, the house is “unbound by convention in every way,” the agent says.

Michael Shaun Jackson bought the Bird Streets teardown for $286,000 in 2018, he told the Wall Street Journal.

Construction, which was finished in 2020, cost he and his wife Andrea $1.35 million. Jackson tells WSJ that’s because he went a little nuts with new technology.

“The cost shifted dramatically because I had access to 3-D design programs that a friend of mine was experimenting with,” he told the WSJ. “I kept brainstorming and coming up with fun ideas to test in the program, and they tested so well that I had to implement them into the actual build.”

That experimental 3D design program resulted in the unusual geometric shapes found throughout the home, the listing agent notes.

The 4,853-square-foot, three bedroom home’s black-and-gray palette was inspired by a spaceship known in TRON as the Recognizer. The two-story living room includes a mammoth fireplace sheathed in marble-effect porcelain and a retractable TV, which is, of course, “oversized.”

A glass wall panel in the room allows for the full display of one of the vehicles in a three-car garage, and one bathroom includes a tub floating atop pulsating lights and titanium fire glass. (“At the touch of a button, the glass walls of the bathroom’s water closet turn opaque for privacy,” the agent says).

In addition to elaborate crystal chandeliers in virtually every room, a Ferrari-themed office, a speakeasy/game room with upholstered walls and a primary suite with a Versace vibe, there’s a fabulous outdoor lounge complete with a huge fire pit and a water feature.

It could be yours for $3.9 million.
