It’s that time of the year at The Galleria when autumn festivities abound and pumpkin spice wafts through the air.

There’s plenty to do, from a spooky book signing to American Girl Doll halloween makeovers, there’s something for the whole family. Here’s a look at what’s coming up.

RED RIVER SINGOFF

Galleria Dallas is preparing for the big game Saturday with a sing-off from the UT Longhorn Singers and OU Men’s Glee Club. The Red River sing-off will take place at noon on Friday, Oct. 7,  on Level 1 in Center Court.

ALLEY MARKET

Support small businesses at this indoor market. There will be 15 small business vendors, including Bonton Farms, Cocoandre and Enjoy the Perk. the market starts 11 a.m. on  Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21-22, next to The Blue Fish.

Join Ada Ari, author of The Spider’s Thin Legs, for a reading of this time-honored Africa folktale. Ari will also share facts about the Ashanti Kingdom and teach kids a Ghanain dance.

HALLOWEEN COOKIE DECORATING

Girls will use their creativity to decorate cookies shaped like a pumpkin, mummy, and candy corn at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 28. Reservations for the event can be found on the Amreican Girl website.

SPOOKY DOLL HAIRSTYLE AND MANICURE DAY

For kids wanting more variety with their dolls hair, this one’s for them. Kids will give their dolls “Spider Waterfall” braids and take home a Halloween treat bag at 10 a.m. on Oct. 30.

AMERICAN GIRL TRICK OR TREAT

For four days, kids can get Halloween treats and stickers at the American Girl Doll Store. All they have to do is wear a costume into the store anytime between Oct. 28 – 31.
