October might be drawing to a close, but that doesn’t mean you can’t add some new books to this month’s reading list. Interabang Books, our neighborhood bookstore has  three author events coming up.

Here’s a look at what’s happening in the approaching week.

David McCloskey talks Damascus Station

East Dallas resident and ex-CIA agent David McCloskey stops by the store at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, to discuss his novel Damascus Station. It’s a spy thriller about forbidden love, a disappearance, death and infiltrating the Syrian regime.

Maria Hummer-Tuttle talks Objects of Desire

From Dallas Women’s Club, Maria Hummer-Tuttle will hold a signing for her book, Objects of Desire at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27. The book is about Tuttle’s collected objects and their “connection to the past and the future, for their resonance with one another.”

Robin McLean talks Get ’em, Young, Treat ’em Tough, Tell ’em Nothing

Get ’em, Young, Treat ’em Tough, Tell ’em Nothing is a collection of 10 stories as author Robin McLean travels across the United States from Alaska to Missouri and political landscapes. McLean will be discussing and signing her book at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27.
