The Junior League of Dallas is hosting its annual Community Volunteer Fair at NorthPark Center this Saturday.

During the fair, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with community partners and nonprofit agencies. They will also be able to sign up for volunteer commitments.

This event is free and open to the public; no registration is required. It is scheduled for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 11.

The Junior League of Dallas, which is based in our neighborhood, is one of the largest Junior Leagues in the world. It celebrated its 100-year anniversary last year.

As the largest and oldest training organization for women in Dallas, the league provides more than 100,000 hours of volunteer service and about $1 million in funding to local nonprofits each year.

Junior League of Dallas has been a part of several initiatives including grant-giving to local high schools and distributing coloring books to elementary campuses across DISD.
