Atlanta-based Delta Airlines has scrapped its plans to expand routes at Dallas Love Field Airport.

In February, Delta announced that it would add two new routes for passengers this summer, starting June 5, from Dallas to New York and Dallas to Los Angeles. However, plans for the twice-daily route to La Guardia Airport in New York have been removed due to lower than expected demand.

The airline is still following through with the route to Los Angeles International Airport and also adding a sixth daily flight to Atlanta, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Delta currently has one gate at Dallas Love Field, which has 20 gates for airlines, including Southwest and Alaska.
