Hockaday School alumna Victoria Clark was nominated for a Tony Award for her role in the musical Kimberly Akimbo.

This isn’t Clark’s first Tony nomination for Leading Actress in a Musical, or even win, for her performances. In 2005, she won the same award for “The Light in the Piazza.”

In her latest performance, the 1978 grad plays the role of Kimberly Akimbo, a teen navigating family dysfunction. The musical has earned eight Tony nominations, including Best Musical.

In a 2018 Advocate feature, Clark shared that she teaches at colleges and universities.

“Whenever I have free time, I like to teach at universities and conservatories and keep in touch with the educational part of my journey so that I continue to learn but also pass on information to young actors,” she said.

Four other actresses are also nominated in the category for Best Leading Actress in a Musical, including Annaliegh Ashford, Sara Bareilles, Lorna Courtney and Micaela Diamond.
