Sam Lao art at Galleria Dallas
Galleria Dallas and Dallas-based visual artist Sam Lao are joining together for a Juneteenth special.
Lao will be giving away limited-edition shirts with her design printed on them. The shirt design is inspired by the Juneteenth flag, “Bursting Star of Freedom,” and the Texas flag.
There will also be an art installation, which is on display through the month of June, to accompany the giveaway. Lao’s work includes abstract tufting creations and sculptures. Her art “explores the interaction between color, texture and pattern as they relate to the constant flow of creating and the actions required to bring thought to fruition,” according to her artist bio.
The installation is located on Level 1 near Brachendorf’s. The giveaway will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 17.
