This Saturday, July 22, the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field will celebrate the 54th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing with its 15th annual Moon Day event.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. visitors will experience moon-themed activities and exhibitions designed for all ages, as well as educational presentations from local academics.

Ticket prices are as follows:

Adults: $12

Seniors (65+):  $10

Youths (3-17): $9

Children two and younger: Free

A highlight of the event with come with a keynote address from retired Astronaut Shane Kimbrough, the fourth person to ever fly in four different space craft. Kimbrough, a native Texan, additionally ranks fifth all-time in greatest amount of time spent in space by an American.

“We hold this event each year to inspire the next generation of space explorers, who come from diverse backgrounds and cultures,” said Frontiers of Flight Museum’s new CEO Abigail Erickson-Torres in a release. “It’s a privilege to host Astronaut Shane Kimbrough, and thank this brave, heroic and humble individual for sharing his story with us.”

In addition to scheduled displays and presentations, the museum encourages families to visit its other attractions such as the more than 40 air and space vehicles on display, including the original Apollo 7 Command Module.
