Dallas Pets Alive, the nonprofit organization helping foster and rescue pets, is partnering with SusieCakes Bakery for the monthlong Dog Days of Summer.
As part of the cookie special, a dollar from every dog-shaped sugar cookie for humans will go toward rescue animals. This promotion will run from now until the end of August at multiple SusieCakes locations, including the one on Luther Lane.
One of the dogs available for adoption through Dallas Pets Alive is Keeley Bones. Keeley also serves as SusieCakes unofficial mascot.
The cookies come in three icing toppings, including brown, white and beige.
Dallas Pets Alive also has pets available for adoption at their adoption container at Community Beer Co. with events hosted monthly.
The Preston Hollow SusieCakes location is at 6100 Luther Lane.
