One of the best hallmarks of our neighborhood is the good list of restaurants and places to feel the romantic bliss of a date. From new to old, frugal or limitless, wine to beer, here are a couple of ideas to bookmark for this weekend’s date night excursions.

1. Anchor Sushi

Sail away with this new concept from Vandaley Hospitality which offers a generous variety of sushi. Anchor Sushi transports you to a boat atmosphere with nautical designs and themes. Their sushi includes traditional menu items as well as their own take on classic rolls.

2. Mercury

Mercury has been serving fine dining modern American dishes since 1998 and has been a staple to the community. Chef Chris Ward has curated a menu for everyone including seared duck breast, roasted halibut and even the sushi bar to offer an original concept.

3. Bobbie’s Airway Grill

Although its new on the block, Bobbie’s Airway Grill is already getting attention. It comes from the Robert Quick who also is behind Il Bracco, another Preston Hollow favorite. The new restaurant is an upscale American grill and honors Quick’s mother, Bobbie. The menu highlights Quick’s skills and range with scallops, seared halibut, pan roasted Arctic char and oysters.

4. Princi Italia

Princi Italia offers an authentic Italian flair with immense attention to detail for modern flavors in each dish. Italian descendants and friends themselves, Patrick Colombo and Chef Kevin Ascolese offer a warm Tuscan farmhouse setting with homemade pastas, fresh herb and Napolitiano-styled Pizzas.

5. Sevy’s Grill

At Sevy’s Grill, guests are welcomed to an experience unlike any other Dallas restaurant. This family-run and chef-driven restaurant gives the comfortable ambiance one would want for an intimate date night but the highlight is chefs cooking over their Aztek grill with a live fire over hickory wood. The menu also includes duck flautas, smoked bacon wrapped Bandera quail and the almond crusted sole.
