The team behind the 25-year-old restaurant Maguire’s Kitchen & Cocktails announced its two concepts earlier this year, marking it as a new hospitality group.

Renny’s Bar and Grill and Maguire’s Bistro and Bar are now part of the Maguire’s family and act as the future for Maguire’s Hospitality Group. Renny’s opened earlier this summer and takes over the old Rockfish and Main Stream location off of Preston Road. The lineup is made of general manager Teri Potts and assistant general manager Kim Hove who together have over 40 years of experience with Maguire’s management. In addition, chef Manuel Aguilar has worked at Maguire’s for the last five years. It has been described as a more contemporary look compared to Maguire’s.

“Our initial plan was to simply move and update the concept, but as we got further into the development, we realized it was going to be a significant departure from the OG Maguire’s,” owner Mark Maguire said. “We are also aware that the Maguire’s brand was strongly recognized and embraced by our Dallas community, and we needed to find a way to define the new location as its own, new and unique concept while maintaining a clear connection to the Maguire’s brand. Renny, a nickname for Clarence Bonaventure Maguire Jr., is my father and the original Maguire in my eyes, so we decided naming it after him would provide the perfect connection and statement.”

Maguire’s Bistro and Bar is also a new concept that quietly opened earlier this year off of Dallas Parkway. It’s more similar to the original Maguire’s but is more intimate and has a casual dining room atmosphere. The menu includes some of Maguire’s classics such as the chicken tortilla soup and Maguire’s salad while also adding new menu items.

“We’re so thrilled to be officially introducing both of these concepts to Dallas neighborhoods that are new to us, and we are very excited for the future of the Maguire’s Hospitality Group,” Maguire said. “We hope guests will enjoy the updated menu and fresh new looks and continue to rely on us to be their favorite neighborhood restaurant as we honor the Maguire’s legacy.”

Both new restaurants boasts a great option for business lunches or casual dinners, weekend brunches and happy hour after work. All menu items and hours will be available on their website.
