The Sparkman Club Estates Voluntary Homeowners Association is hosting a holiday home tour on Dec. 6 and 7 to fundraise for rebuilding its community pools.

The tour features a walk-through of ten houses in total on Wednesday, Dec. 6, and Thursday, Dec. 7, with five houses showcased each night.

As part of the long-term campaign, ‘More Than a Pool,’ aimed at preserving the neighborhood’s community amenities, including a clubhouse, pool, pickleball, tennis courts, and a park, the event seeks to address plumbing issues and minor renovations needed to adhere to city code changes for the three neighborhood pools built in the 1950s—one for children, one for adults, and a main pool. Proceeds from the tour contribute to these efforts.

The Association’s goal is to break ground in 2023 and anticipates an opening on Memorial Day Weekend 2024. Since 2022, they’ve raised more than $425,000 of their $500,000 goal.

The event kicks off with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. for check-in, providing a tour schedule, and serving festive drinks and bites before the tour. Homes will be open from 7 to 9 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $50 for one night or $75 for both nights. For additional event information, visit their website.
