The Dallas-based family-owned jewelry store Ylang 23 is set to move to a new location after 10 years at The Plaza at Preston Center.

Renowned jewelry brand Ylang 23, owned by Charles and Joanne Teichman, will relocate to The Shops of Highland Park to be closer to its sister store, Wildlike, owned by their daughter, Alysa Teichman. Wildlike opened its doors in 2021, and the upcoming move will bring the family and the store closer together.

“Our family business has been an integral part of Dallas’ rich cultural tapestry, embodying the spirit of luxury and unmatched customer service,” said Alysa Teichman, co-owner of Ylang 23. “For almost 40 years, my family and the rest of our team are grateful to have been a go-to for our customers’ milestones. In addition, we are proud to have broken the mold to be a key destination for self-purchasing women.”

Ylang 23, owned and operated by Joanne, Charles, and their daughter Alysa, has been a labor of love for almost 40 years. The couple started the business in a kiosk at Galleria Dallas in the mid-80s and, after 28 years, transitioned to its storefront in 2013. They were among the first designer jewelry companies to have a website in 2000.

“It fills my wife and business partner Joanne and me with great pride that our brainchild has become a quintessential component of the Dallas retail space,” said Charles Teichman. “What we do is so much more than a business. After all these years, we are ingrained in the fabric of Dallas’ culture. It’s a remarkable nod to our efforts and vision over these last 35+ years, and having our daughter as part of the leadership is icing on the cake.”

The new location, spanning 3,200 square feet of retail space, is expected to open in spring 2024. Until then, Ylang 23 will continue to operate at its Preston Center location. As the grand opening approaches, the owners will announce new features and design concepts for the new location.
