An apparent murder-suicide occurred at a Dallas apartment near North Central Expressway last weekend.
Police officers responded to a welfare check Saturday morning Dec. 30 in the 1000 block of Steppington Dr. They found 29-year-old Brenda Cruz and suspect 28-year-old Juan Jesus Magana fatally shot at the location.
According to the Dallas police, the suspect shot Cruz before shooting himself in a murder-suicide.
Dallas Fire Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced both the victim and the suspect dead at the scene.
