The Frisco-based Chído Taco Lounge is set to take over the previously occupied space of Cinco Taco’s Bar at Preston Hollow Village.

This marks Chído’s second restaurant and its first venture into the Dallas scene. It’s slated to open in the spring, just in time for Cinco de Mayo. The new location will feature a two-story space with a members-only tequila lounge on the second floor.

This marks Chído’s second establishment and its first venture into Dallas. It is expected to open sometime in the spring, the new location boasting a two-story space.

In 2021, owner Blaine McGowan introduced Chído in Frisco, promising a vibrant interpretation of cultural cuisines. Chído, translating to “cool” in Spanish, delivers an enticing array of street tacos, cervezas and tequilas. Highlights from the Frisco menu include tablitas, birria ramen, bang bang shrimp tacos, jerk chicken, the Chído burger, and a featured taco of the month. The bar showcases cold beers, fresh Margaritas and an extensive tequila selection.

Another new addition to the Dallas location will be more agave spirits in the high-end tequila lounge, which will be stocked with coveted bottles and expects to later host exclusive tasting events for members.

“The response to our concept in Frisco has been overwhelmingly positive, and we’re so proud of what we’ve built. Now we’re excited to expand our operations to Dallas, where we can share our brand of fun-loving food and polished service with a new community of guests,” Chído Taco Lounge owner Blaine McGowan said in a statement.

Cinco TacoBar first opened in Preston Hollow Village in 2017 and closed its doors last year.
