Cirque du Soleil will showcase a sneak peek of its new tour, CRYSTAL, at Galleria Dallas on Tuesday, Jan. 16, featuring the company’s first ice skating performance.

Staying on theme this week, Galleria Dallas is part of Cirque du Soleil’s upcoming ice show tour and will host a free sneak peek at Galleria Ice Skating Center at 4:30 p.m. This mark’s the first time in the company’s 39-year history to incorporate ice into its creative repertoire.

The performance will blend the company’s familiar acrobatic acts with ice including synchronized skating, freestyle figures and extreme skating performances alongside traditional circus disciplines such as swinging trapeze, aerial straps and hand-to-hand acts.

The preview will also include the artistry of juggling and skating performed by Dallas’ own Hunter Grimm.

Dallas-native Hunter Grimm will be part of the performance.

Following the Galleria Dallas premiere, the tour will move to Frisco’s Comerica Center from Feb. 7 to 11 and Fort Worth’s Dickie’s Arena from Feb. 15 to 18.

While the show is free, attendees are required to make reservations online before arriving to the rink.
