Anthony’s Eatalian is moving to a new location across the street, taking over the former Boston Market space.

The move comes after six years of serving classic rustic Italian-style dishes at 3751 Forest Ln. Owner and executive chef Robert Olson acquired the permits for the old Boston Market location in December 2022 due to Anthony’s outgrowing its original space.

“We just didn’t have the space and two years into it and we had an opportunity come up within the plaza,” Olson said.

The new address at 3797 Forest Ln. spans 3,400 square feet, tripling the original space and doubling capacity. It will feature covered patio seating for 36 guests and 104 indoor seats.

“It’s going to make our operation more efficient,” Olson said. “The kitchen we have now is so small and we’re doing mostly everything from scratch per order as it comes in. Over there, we’re going to be able to handle more of the high demand of orders that come in.”

A full liquor bar will also be included in the new features. Councilwoman Gay Donnel Willis helped Olson and his team through the challenges of property and school lines to obtain a liquor license.

Interior designer Hatsumi Kuzuu, known for projects like Birdie’s Eastside and Urban Taco, collaborated on the new space, which includes two kitchens and additional deck ovens for pizza.

“ We’re not a pizzeria, we’re an Italian restaurant that happens to make pizza,” Olson said. “Over there, it’s a whole different ballgame. We’ve invested and we’ve got our second kitchen we use exclusively for our pizza. We really think we’re going to be able to really build that up.”

The original location will remain under Olson’s control, with plans for a new Mexican concept expected to debut in July.

While awaiting the new location’s completion, Anthony’s will continue operations. Olson anticipates an early April opening.
