American Girl celebrated the grand opening of its new location at The Shops at Park Lane last weekend, drawing crowds of eager fans for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Previously situated at Galleria Dallas, the store announced its relocation last summer.

The new 14,720 square-foot store covers two levels of a variety of signature American Girl dolls, accessories, a full-service cafe and more.

A custom-made mural from local artist and fashion designer, Dear Giana covers the wall across from Bowl & Barrel. The mural, characterized by vibrant pink hues and depicting three stylishly dressed young girls, aims to reflect diversity in fashion and nationality.

“Fashion and styling have always been a part of my DNA and it was so much fun to be able to style each doll with the American Girl clothing and put my touch on each one,” Giana said. “The best part of creating this mural was being able to piece together the bright colors, happiness, and essence from the store onto a wall celebrating their grand opening.”

More artwork can be found on the sidewalks from 3D chalk artist Jan Riggins whose work also previously appeared on the sidewalks in tribute to Matthew Perry, the Texas Rangers’ World Series win and the holidays. The opening event featured treats from The Salt Donut and Spundipity Cotton Candy, with music by DkRomiq.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Dallas fans to our newly imagined experiential store,” said Jamie Cygielman, American Girl’s global SVP and general manager. “Centrally located at The Shops at Park Lane, American Girl Dallas features an all-new look and feel that honors our heritage and offers exciting experiences and new ways to celebrate that will make any visit a special Day to Remember.”

To celebrate the store’s new location, American Girl is donating nearly $40,000 in retail value of books to Save the Children’s Education and Literacy Programs, benefiting partner schools in Texas. This donation underscores American Girl’s longstanding commitment to literacy and leadership, building on millions of dollars in book donations over the past thirty years.

With the store officially opened, guests are welcome to dine, celebrate and experience the new location.
