The Junior League of Dallas (JLD) hosted its annual Community Grant Presentation on Feb. 22, 2024, at its headquarters, with the Bank of Texas as the presenting sponsor.

JLD representatives and the sponsor awarded grants to 25 nonprofit agencies, part of the JLD’s Community Program, which supports these agencies with both financial funding and volunteer efforts. For the 2024-2025 year, JLD will contribute nearly $1 million in funding and provide over 700 volunteers who will serve 100,000 hours in the community, supporting these 25 nonprofits and 11 signature projects.

Grant recipients include organizations such as the Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation, Children’s Health, Dallas CASA, the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, the Dallas Museum of Art and the Dallas Zoo among others.

“The Junior League of Dallas strives to make an impact in the community by working with incredible and diverse agencies every year. Each of these nonprofits is helping to better our city and the people in it,” JLD President Christina N. Eubanks said.

The League has developed 11 signature projects to address specific community needs, including park improvements, the Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair and the CollegiateSTEPS program at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas.

Caitlyn Royal chaired the research and development team responsible for the grant recipient process, with Laura Gazette, the community vice president, and 50 JLD members contributing to the selection process.

The next JLD event, the Milestones Luncheon, will take place on April 5, featuring Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts as the speaker and honoring Kathleen Gibson as the Sustainer of the Year.
