Last week, Yonkers Pizza at the Plaza at Preston Center permanently closed its doors.
Yonkers first opened its doors on October 26, 2020, bringing a New York-style pizza experience to the neighborhood. The closure came suddenly, with the business not issuing a statement or posting on social media.
Over the weekend, Willingham Property Company posted a “change of locks” notice on the doors on Thursday, March 7. Property manager Meg Robinson stated she “is not at liberty to say” the reason for the closure.
As of now, there are no plans for a new tenant to replace Yonkers Pizza.
