United to Learn, a nonprofit that focuses on Dallas education, asked Dallas ISD principals to ‘dream big’ about changes they want to see on their campuses. This Saturday on Community Campus Day 2024, eight schools will have their dreams become a reality.

2024 marks United To Learn’s seventh annual Community Campus Day campaign, with 68 total projects coordinated for local schools, 51 of which have been fully completed.

Two Preston Hollow elementary schools will be participating this year, John J. Pershing Elementary School and Sudie L. Williams Talented and Gifted Academy.

John J. Pershing Elementary School will receive a playground refresh, creating an area designed to foster collaboration and communication between students. This project is sponsored by Ashlee and Chris Kleinert.

Sudie L. Williams Talented and Gifted Academy will create a garden sensory path, using the outdoor space to teach students about growing their own vegetables and healthy eating habits. This project is sponsored by Nicole and Justin Small.

High school students and adult volunteers are encouraged to attend on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If interested, visit United To Learn’s page for Community Campus Day 2024.
