The Thanks-Giving Foundation will host The New York Times bestselling author and columnist David Brooks at Temple Emanu-El next month.

The intimate discussion on Thursday, May 2, will center on Brooks’ latest bestseller, “How To Know a Person: The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen.” The book delves into the search for connection and understanding, drawing from psychology, neuroscience, history and culture to explore human connections.

Brooks will join an onstage conversation with the Thanks-Giving Foundation, offering insights into pressing issues through his optimistic perspective. Earlier in the day, he will appear at the 43rd annual National Day of Prayer Luncheon at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

Brooks has written for The Atlantic, The New York Times and is a frequent commentator on PBS News Hour and NBC’s Meet the Press.

Copies of his book will be available for purchase at the event.
