Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center to honor moms at Mother’s Day food distribution

From moms and bonus moms to grandmothers and all the women who step into nurturing roles, the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center is rolling out the love with a Center Table Mother’s Day drive-thru food giveaway event on Friday, May 2, from 8-11 a.m. (rain or shine).

The free, drive-up event is open to the public and will provide food boxes to more than 500 families on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is not required.

Entertainment will include performances by Booker T. Washington student Enyonam Osae along with other festivities and giveaways. Planet Lincoln will offer free oil changes on site for a few lucky moms. And as a special surprise, the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center will provide 550 catered meals for a select group of teachers and moms to pick up at Roosevelt High School and Concord Church.

In partnership with HEB, the drive-up event is presented by The Mark Cuban Foundation, The Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and The Heroes Foundation. Other partners include Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM), Mrs. Baird’s and Planet Lincoln.

And, Dads, mark your calendars. Father figures will get spoiled as well when the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center hosts its annual Father’s Day event at Concord Church on Sunday, June 16. Details forthcoming.
