Dallas’ independent radio station, KNON-FM, 89.3 FM, is hosting a Texas Twister Relief Benefit Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Six Springs Tavern in Richardson. All proceeds will help the station relocate and rebuild. The benefit stars Lloyd Maines and Teri Hendrix, who were the last studio guests at the old location destroyed by the tornado. Expect Texas Blues Radio favorite Jim Suhler and sets from Simon Flory and Ally Venable. KNON retiree Sonnyboy Mark and Texas Renegade Radio Mark Mundy will host.

Here are the details:

  • Doors open at 5 p.m. Dec. 11. Music is from 7-10 p.m.
  • The Six Springs Tavern is at 147 N. Plano Road in Richardson.
  • Tickets are $12.30 or $15 at the door. Get your tickets here.

KNON offices on North Central Expressway north of Royal suffered major damage during the Oct. 20 tornado. The station, which operates 24-7, plays some of the most eclectic mix of music in Dallas.
