Apparently there’s been some feral cat sightings recently on the Katy Trail. While some of these certainly look like cute and cuddly house kitties, rest assured they’re nothing like your little Fluffy at home. If you spot one while you’re out on the trail, you can contact neighborhood group Feral Friends. You might remember reading about this group in our magazine a few months ago. This group of neighbors trap the cats, then have them spayed/neutered, and nurses them back to good health and releases them or finds them homes.
The Katy Trail blog also lists some tips for trapping these feral cats yourself, but if you’ve ever been scratched by a very angry cat, I think you’ll agree when I say it’s probably better if you leave this to someone who knows what they’re doing.
