Jennifer Carr, an artsy seamstress hailing from Sparkman, is the creative force behind Hot Mama Aprons — which hopefully, you’ve had a chance to read about in this month’s Advocate. Her retro-inspired creations are downright cool, and actually functional, to boot.
The majority of her inventory is online, though you can find a handful at Nothing Bundt Cakes off Preston and Royal, which just started carrying the aprons. Carr told me she’s pushing for more wholesale in the Preston Hollow area, so I’ll keep you posted. Oh, and if you’re not sure what to do once you get that apron, check out Carr’s blog, which is chockfull of her favorite recipes.
