If you’re searching for a little magic this weekend, the Disney Store at NorthPark Center is having a celebration in honor of their grand opening, Saturday, Nov. 6. The festivities begin at 10 a.m. with an opening ceremony, and from 12-4 p.m. Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be greeting all of the guests. The first 500 people in attendance will also receive free Mickey Mouse ears.

Preston Hollow United Methodist Church invites to Shredding Day, Saturday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Just bring your unwanted documents to their parking for shredding. The prices for shredding range from $5 for a letter fox to $10 for a banker’s box.

Genesis Women’s Shelter will be celebrating 25 years of helping women and children from domestic violence at Bookmarks in NorthPark Center on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 12-4 p.m. The organization will launch Noah’s Magic Shoes, by co-author and illustrator Janie Bynum, who will be on hand to read and sign her book. The book is $20 and one hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale will go towards Genesis Women’s Shelter. The event will also include refreshments, celebrity book readings, autograph tables, and crafts.
