The Sherpas perform at 8 p.m. Friday at Uncle Calvin’s Coffeehouse. All three members of the group have won awards at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival. Admission is $15-$18. As a reminder, Uncle Calvin’s is a nonprofit venue, and ticket sales benefit food pantries in Dallas.

North Haven Gardens features a full weekend of free programs centered on organic gardening. Beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, there’s an iris sale, benefiting the Dallas Iris Society. Next, there’s a backyard chickens workshop. Learn all about bees during a program at 11 a.m. and then composting at 1 p.m. On Sunday at 1 p.m., the programs continue, focusing on vegetable gardening.

Buddy and Tina Wright, described as child prodigies, perform American Heritage Music at 2 p.m. Saturday at NorthPark Center near Dillard’s and Starbucks. The event is free and geared toward elementary-aged children.
