Pre-Kindgergartners at Lamplighter participated in Science Night recently as a part of the school’s partnership with the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

The joint event between the school and museum was to introduce children to the S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields. More than 120 families participated in 14 different activities, including a Paleontology station.

At the event attendees used iPads for a “Star Walk,” dressed up like dinosaurs, tested mini car ramps, participated in sink or float exercises, used diagrams to build different Lego models, participated in a T-Rex footprint estimation and more. My only question is where was all this when I was a kid?
