After more than two decades of serving as Headmaster at St. Marks, Arnie Holtberg announced this past Saturday that he’ll retire at the end of the 2013-2014 academic year.

Holtberg worked on the $100 million plus Centennial Challenge fundraising campaign, which is almost completed, and two other successful campaigns during his tenure.
“It has been a distinct pleasure and honor to work within this school community,” Holtberg wrote in a in letter to the Board of Trustees. “Together, we have worked conscientiously to fulfill the School’s mission. We have strengthened programs, developed the campus, and have always put the needs of our students first.”
The Trustees have already launched a search committe for the next Headmaster, which former Board Presidents Leonard Riggs and Ken Hersh will co-chair.
