A woman was greeted with a mallet to the head while walking into her Preston Hollow workplace May 13.
Sometime around 9 a.m. the woman was walking through the door of a business plaza when a man told her,” Good to see you this morning,” and then hit her on the side of the head with a rubber mallet, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Police reports state the woman had tried to hold the door open for the man before he hit her on the right side of the head and then stole her purse from her workplace at 12820 Hillcrest.
The man took off to the back parking lot with her purse that contained: a debit card, credit card, passport and a Texas work identification card, according to police.
Police say though she was treated on spot for her head wound, her friend later took her to Medical City Dallas Hospital.
