In yesterday’s episode of The Daily Show, host Trevor Noah responded to the NBA’s statement that the national anthem would be played before games this season.

The league issued the statement after Preston Hollow neighbor and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban told The Athletic the team had not played “The Star-Spangled Banner” before any of the 13 home games this season and had no plans to play it moving forward.

Cuban later told The Dallas Morning News in an email he had only confirmed the song hadn’t been played so far, but not that the organization had decided not to play it as the season continues.

In his show, Noah presents Cuban with a solution that he “is so gonna love.”

Noah pitches a new national anthem to Cuban, who is shown reacting to the song in clips taken from the ABC series Shark Tank.

“I’ll listen, but,” Cuban says, as he’s interrupted by Noah, who begins singing the new song.

“A little bit of Kansas in my life, a little bit of Florida by my side,” Noah sings to the tune of “Mambo No. 5.”

Following that part, Noah says the song goes on for six or seven minutes with a call-and-response section, with the leader yelling “U.S.” and the audience yelling “A.”

The song concludes with, “now you know America is a country on the earth,” sung to the tune of the ending of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Cuban pulls no punches in his response.

“Now that’s just screwing with us. It makes no sense whatsoever,” Cuban says.

Noah then takes the opportunity to pitch his second idea, an iPad for dogs called “iPaw.”

“I’m out,” Cuban says.
