Update (3/25): Natural Grocers has confirmed the Preston Forest Village store will reopen March 31. The company originally said the date may be postponed.
Natural Grocers in Preston Forest Village will reopen March 31 after being temporarily closed for renovations, according to a company press release.
The store, which has been closed since January, will be 40% larger than the original and include a more efficient checkout experience, a new Nutrition Education Center and additional product offerings. There will also be more space in specific departments, such as the produce, body care and beauty, dietary supplements, frozen meats and grab-and-go sections.
In addition, the store now has sustainable building features and LED lighting to reduce its carbon footprint.
Natural Grocers is marking its reopening with giveaways and discounts.
On March 31, the first 100 customers will get a Natural Grocers Recipe Bag, a cooler bag filled with pancake and waffle mix, the ingredients to make them and a kitchen set with an oven mitt and utensils.
Customers who can’t make it to the store on opening day still have an opportunity to take part in the promotions. From March 31 until April 4, the first 1,000 {N}power members to check out will get a 40-ounce Natural Grocers Hydro Flask. During the same time, customers can fill out an entry form to have the chance to win prizes such as a $500 Natural Grocers gift card, an Aventon E-bike, a Vitamix blender and a Cuisinart food processor. There will also be a prize wheel.
Discounts last from March 31 until April 29. They cover a variety of products including strawberries, blueberries, mangoes, baby peeled carrots, bacon and eggs. In addition, Natural Grocers is offering discounts on Texas-made items; customers can save up to 40% on Buddha’s Brew, Chameleon, Culina, Epic, Himalaya, Live Soda, Nadamoo!, Siete, SkinnyPop, Waterloo, Tenisi Beauty and more.
Natural Grocers will be open Monday-Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8:05 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7:35 p.m. Shopping hours for seniors begin April 7 and are on Sundays from 9-10 a.m. and Wednesdays from 8-9 a.m.
