A Study of Impatient Patience by Brian Washington

The George W. Bush Presidential Center hosts a discussion on civil rights Tuesday, Feb. 15.

Panelists including artist Brian Washington, Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall, Big Thought CEO and 2017 Presidential Leadership Scholar Byron Sanders, and Bush Institute-SMU Economic Growth Initiative Director Cullum Clark will “discuss the current state of civil rights in America and the steps we must all take to continue the advancement toward equality.”

The program is a complement to The Continual Struggle: The American Freedom Movement and Seeds of Social Change, an exhibit of paintings by Brian Washington, which is on display at the center through March 27.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m., and journalist Laura Harris of KXAS will moderate the discussion. Tickets cost $43.
