The Hockaday School Daisies varsity lacrosse team brought back another championship title just in time for Mother’s Day celebrations.

The Daisies traveled to St. Michael’s High School in Austin, Texas, after beating the Flower Mound Jaguars 19-13 in the semifinals on May 7. They then faced their final rival, the Austin Westlake Chaparrals, where they finished with a 20-8 victory

This win makes the Daisies back-to-back champions after beating Southlake Carroll 14-11 in the 2021 championship

The win wouldn’t have been possible without the performance of Minje Kwun, a senior graduating later this month. She had nine goals in her last match for the Daisies, six being in the first half. Kwun is set to attend Dartmouth this fall and join her old teammate, Emilia Callahan

Head coach Molly Ford and two assistant coaches, Isobel Paoletta and Morgan Widner, led the Daisies to their celebratory win.

The girls celebrated their championship win with their daisy crowns and their moms Sunday afternoon.
