Two men died in a murder-suicide shooting near Dallas Love Field on Friday, Feb. 16.

Around 2 p.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting call on Friday afternoon in the 1800 block of W Mockingbird Lane, near Hawes Avenue. Upon arrival, they found two men with gunshot wounds.

During the preliminary investigation, officers determined that the suspect, 42-year-old Roy Bell, and the victim, 26-year-old Dmarcus Lott, were involved in an argument in the parking lot of a business. The investigation revealed that the suspect shot the victim before later shooting himself.

The suspect and the victim were acquainted, according to Dallas police.

Lott was pronounced dead at the scene, and Bell was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
