Preston Playhouse, an indoor pickleball venue, held a grand opening last week.

It opened softly last month at 13130 Preston Road. On Wednesday, April 3, the new concept welcomed guests of all skill levels to its courts. Casamigos provided cocktails, paired with light bites from T Bar M’s executive chef Steven Lartz also featuring live entertainment by DJ Blake Ward.

The concept is from Woodhouse, a Dallas-based company behind Park House Dallas, José, and T Bar M Racquet Club.

“We can’t wait for more people and families to experience our version of hospitality,” Hannah Wood, project manager of Woodhouse, said. “We’re thrilled to open our doors tonight and we’re grateful that you’re here to celebrate with us. Hopefully, this becomes a second home to most of you.”

Guests enjoyed nine indoor pickleball courts, two indoor paddle courts, a heated indoor swimming pool, arcade games and lounge spaces with groovy interior design.

Professional pickleball players, including Riley Newman, one of the world’s best male pickleball players, and Jared Sandler, radio and television broadcaster and founder of The Sandlot’s Children’s Charity, showed their skills in a friendly game. PPA professional Tam Trinh and former professional tennis player Brian Wilson, coaches at T Bar M Racquet Club, also participated.

The evening wrapped up with a giveaway featuring gifts from Mizzen + Main and Rose Gold Rose.

Pickleball enthusiasts can now enjoy rounds at Preston Playhouse, located near Preston Road and Interstate 635, armed with paddles and cocktails.
