A 29-year-old man is in police custody after shooting a 20-year-old man at an apartment building near Dallas Love Field early Friday morning.

Dallas police responded to the 3300 block of Hundall Street around 4:20 a.m. after reports of gunfire.

Officers found Isaiah Blasig-Prickett, 20, shot on the ground in a common area of the apartment complex. Blasig-Prickett was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

Further investigation identified 29-year-old Shevaun Ffrench as the suspect. Ffrench was charged with murder and taken to Dallas County Jail.

According to police, the victim and the suspect “knew each other.”

As of Ffrench’s booking at the jail around 7 p.m. on Friday, bail has not been set.
