Construction has begun on the new digs for TJ’s Fresh Seafood Market at Preston and Royal in the former Purple Cow space. The market-turned-full-service-restaurant announced its plans back in April, shooting for a late summer/early fall opening.
If you’re curious what it might be like, pay a visit to the Oak Lawn location. In addition to the traditional market, it features a dining room that seats more than 80 people, a full liquor bar, party platters and off-site catering. What’s more, the Preston/Royal location will improve upon Oak Lawn with an expanded menu, Sunday brunch and some non-seafood items.
Purple Cow closed in March after 16 years of business.
