- Rise No. 1, Inwood Village’s charming French bistro specializing in souffles, has added a strawberry souffle to their menu for spring. But that’s not the only good news for our sweet-toothed readers: The Preston/Forest Whole Foods is giving away free cupcakes every Monday this month. That’s right, free. Shop in the store and stop by guest services between 4 and 6 p.m. for a little afternoon pick-me-up.
- Fans of the Asian fusion restaurant Asian Mint can learn how to whip up some of their favorite menu items at the Asian Mint’s annual cooking class. The restaurant’s owners and chefs will host the class on April 23 from 6-9 p.m. at Trinity Groves. The $89 per person cost includes hands-on cooking, dining, drinking, and “goodies.” By the end of the night, you’ll have successfully made your very own mushroom appetizer, lemongrass martini, Thai Seafood Po Tak, chicken basil stir fry, and kabocha pumpkin custard for dessert. Call 214.681.9553 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve.
