Southern Methodist University is hosting the fifth-annual Dirk Nowitzki Pro Celebrity Tennis Classic on September 25 with players like celebrity neighbor Luka Doncic.
Dirk Nowitzki, former Dallas Mavericks basketball superstar, started the tennis classic five years ago to celebrate his first sports love and benefit the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation, which grants annually to organizations that emphasize children’s health and education.
The competition returns after a three-year break to the SMU Tennis Complex on Sunday, September 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Celebrities joining the competition are Luka Doncic, Andy Roddick, and Mardy Fish, among others who have not yet been announced.
Presenting sponsors are Trevor and Jan Rees-Jones followed by other sponsors Gene and Jerry Jones, Morgan Stanley, Headington Companies, Merrill Lynch, Greenberg Traurig, Kim and Evan Wyly, Tiff’s Treats, Smith Thompson Security, Sewell, Hilltop Holdings, Children’s Medical Center, Cebolla Fine Flowers, GameOn!, Nike, Rollertown Brew Works, Lombardi Family Concepts and Which Wich.
Tickets to the event are on sale now on Ticketmaster for $41 per person.
