La Madeleine plans to open at Preston Center in late 2023.
Construction is underway at 6109 Berkshire Lane in the former Einstein’s Bros. Bagels spot, near Westchester Drive, the company said.
This is not the first time La Madeleine has been at Preston Center. The cafe formerly had a location near Preston Road and Berkshire Lane, where Carlo’s Bakery was until it closed a couple of years ago.
La Madeleine was founded by Patrick Esquerré in 1983 on Mockingbird Lane near Southern Methodist University. There are more than 86 locations today across nine states. In the Preston Hollow area, there are stores at Preston-Forest, NorthPark Center and on West Northwest Highway at Midway Road.
The French restaurant serves breakfast all day, as well as lunch and dinner. Its menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches, pastas and French patisserie.
And a couple of years ago, the company began offering delivery for pantry items such as soups, dressings, jams and other goods.
