Galleria Dallas will light one candle on a large-scale menorah every evening of Hanukkah, starting this Thursday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m.

Rabbi Andrew Paley of Temple Shalon will deliver remarks before the lighting. Following the ceremony, a performance by Kol Shalom, the Temple’s youth choir, will play. Sufganiyot–Israeli jelly donuts from Jarams Donuts will also be served until supplies last.

Hanukkah is an eight-day Jewish festival commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean Revolt. The lighting of the Menorah is a holiday tradition to remember the miracle of the Maccabee’s victory and the oil that burned for eight days in the Holy Temple.

The lighting will be on level one near Tiffany & Co., starting at 6 p.m. each evening from Thursday, Dec. 7 through Friday, Dec. 15.
